The editing options are incredibly deep on the dd500. Actually, since there is a dual mode (limited to a few modes), you can select that for each patch, so you can actually play 4 delays at once! That alone opens up an entirely new world of possibilities. For starters, you can only play 1 delay at a time on the X4, whereas the dd500 lets you play 2. IMHO, the DD500 is light years ahead of the X4 when it comes to options. It's just too inconvenient, but thats not to say it doesnt have its place. I personally have a huge problem with that.
